Known for such EP recordings as Grim Reaper, Spartan Soulja, and Save Dem Soul, this Jamaican dancehall DJ, vocalist, and lyricist stirred controversy by infusing many of his recordings with Satanic subject matter.

Before Fame

He began his career as a DJ in 2008 and released his first hit song, "Warn Dem," in 2010.

In 2012, he participated in a much-publicized Twitter feud with fellow Jamaican DJ Bounty Killer.

Family Life

Born Leroy Russell, he grew up in Montego Bay, Jamaica, as one of six siblings. He had his first child with his high school sweetheart Donna when he was fourteen years old. 

Associated With

Early in his career he performed under the same name as Mötley Crüe's drummer Tommy Lee, but he added the Sparta in 2012 to avoid confusion.
